Launched this month (July), Blackpool Thunder is a TVR club for the 21^st Century.

Spearheaded by Steve Charlesworth, Alex Leith and Howard Bryan, the club is run by enthusiasts for enthusiasts and welcomes all TVR owners and fans. Through its online portal, the club shares the latest news, articles, event updates and member discounts in real time to ensure members are kept informed.

UK membership costs just £19 for the year, £5 more if you join from overseas, and the members’ area includes:

• Member discounts – discounts on goods and services to help owners drive their TVRs more economically. Lancaster Insurance is one of the club’s insurance partners and we offer special discounts to Blackpool Thunder members.
• Exclusive member events – the club has an extensive diary of events planned and are also keen to help members put on their own, to encourage owners to get out, drive and enjoy their TVRs more.
• TVR articles and features – the club publishes all the latest TVR news and exclusives as soon as they receive them, keeping members up to date.
• An ever-expanding TVR archive – members can request documents such as car records, build records and technical specs. If the club has the information there is no cost to access them, but members are encouraged to give a donation. 50% of which will be donated to the club’s adopted charity, Cancer Research UK, with 50% to be invested in the continued expansion of the archive.
