Club of the month

In 1960 The Morris Eight Tourer Club was formed, now known as The Morris Register, after a name change in 1968, the club admits all cars and commercials that were designed before 1940.

The Morris Register welcomes members, with or without ownership of a car, who have an interest in any Morris cars and commercials before 1940.

This year, the club celebrates its 60th anniversary and continues to go from strength to strength.

The club is active in the events scene and have a presence at the big national classic car shows including at the NEC.

They also hold a national rally each year, traditionally held at Thorseby Park in Nottinghamshire on the first complete weekend in August.

Benefits of membership include:

- Members website: an online forum to extensive archives which contains specifications, service data sheets and operating manuals plus club produced material stretching 60 years.

- Club magazine: packed with news, technical and archive material, plus reports and pictures, it is usually posted around the first of every month.

- Parts & Accessories: the service provides a basic service to help members keep their Morris in good working order.

- Club merchandise: the online and mail order shop carries a range of clothing plus books, manuals and badges.

Last year, we expanded our Morris Minor Schemes to offer cover for any Morris manufactured car as well as small Morris Commercial Vehicles. This is available for any Morris Club or active forum members, including the Morris Register.
