Wheeler Dealers' Ant Anstead launches his first children's motoring book at the NEC Classic Motor Show

Do you think there is a car-mad child in your house? Then this new book from Ant Anstead, the ace mechanic and star of hit television show, Wheeler Dealers,is a must.

Launching at this year’s Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, held at Birmingham’s NEC from 9-11 November, Ant will unveil his first children’s book Petrol Head Parenting.

The central character is a boy called Lil’ Noah, and he just loves cars. In fact, he is a proper petrol head, and as Ant explains: “Being a petrol head is like an illness for which there is no cure. This book is the essential guide for all parents, helping them to identify, diagnose, and nurture a child afflicted with being a petrol head.”

Featuring beautiful all-colour illustrations from talented American artist, Noah Elias, children will love the fun and colourful layout that will draw them even further into the exciting world of cars. If they already love building toy cars, drawing cars, and identifying every car that passes by, this book will nurture their budding passion and help to develop it into a lifelong enjoyment.

But the book is also perfect for helping parents to understand the curse of being a petrol head. Guiding them through some car-loving essentials including understanding basic engineering, car-focused activities, planning a road trip, and even building a soapbox racer, it is the perfect way to help the grown-ups interact with their car-mad little ones.

Ant added: “I truly believe that while not all kids are the same, ALL kids love something to do with cars. I know I did when I was small, so this book has been a real labour of love and a way of sharing my passion with a new generation of enthusiasts. Cars can be an incredibly rewarding hobby, and I hope the book will help bring parents and their children together and create some lasting motoring memories.

Petrol Head Parenting is priced at £12.99 and is available from Amazon or the book’s website www.petrolheadparenting.com

Ant Anstead and Noah Elias will be launching and signing copies of the book, on sale at a special rate of £10, at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery, at Birmingham’s NEC from 9-11 November. Tickets on sale at www.necclassicmotorshow.com
