Lancaster Insurance is thrilled to announce that it is supporting Land Rover Monthly (LRM) and the Billing Off-Road Show 2018 in its bid to set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the ‘Largest parade of Land Rover/Range Rovers’. Taking place on Saturday 30th June at Billing Off Road Course in Northampton. Participants will be driving a 3 mile scenic route on flat grass and tracks, finishing with a photo of all the vehicles parked in full view of the main show site. All Land Rover and Range Rover owners and lovers are being encouraged to attend the show and get involved in attempting to make history!
To celebrate Land Rover’s 70th anniversary, the attempt will aim to break the current record set in Portugal in 2014 with 516 vehicles taking part. To achieve the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title, there must be at least 517 cars in the parade.
Andrew Evanson, Lancaster Insurance’s Senior Operations Manager comments: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be supporting LRM and Billing Off-Road Show 2018 in their quest! After setting a brand new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS in 2015 for the ‘Largest parade of MGs’, we know the passion and dedication needed to achieve their goal and seeing the number of Land Rovers and Range Rovers in a parade, will certainly be a sight to behold!”
All participants will need either a camping or day ticket to the show and to purchase a special £5 ticket to take part in the parade, which includes a plaque for owners to fix to their front grille as a memento.
