Club of the month - Mk1 Golf Owners Club

This month’s club of the month goes to the Mk1 Golf Owners Club, who were also the recipient of last year’s ‘Outstanding Use of Social Media’ at the 2017 National Car Club Awards!
The club began from six individuals meeting at a show in 2002 and has now one of the most respected international forums that specialise on the iconic car that went on to revolutionise affordable 'hot hatch' ownership. The club cover all models of the Mk1 Golf from 1.1 through to 1.8 GTi’s as well as modified examples.
The club’s website www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk helps owners and prospective buyers to identify running issues and maintenance routines and aims to provide quality and accurate information that can be relied upon to help owners along the way to a confident motoring life.
The club also hold their famous annual gathering, a weekend of camping, car driving, meeting old friends and making new ones and getting involved in the show and shine competition! This year’s event is held on 27th - 29th July and you don't have to camp, there are a number of alternatives close to the current venue at Stratford Upon Avon Racecourse. Hope to see you there!
