Lancaster Insurance is thrilled to have supported Land Rover Monthly and Billing Off-Road Show 2018 in setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ for the ‘Largest parade of Land Rover/Range Rovers’ with 640 vehicles taking part.
To celebrate the marque’s 70th anniversary, Land Rovers from all years took part, from a 1955 Land Rover Series 1 Station Wagon which is affectionately known as Oxford and was one of two that set out on the ‘First Overland’ expedition to a Land Rover Discovery 5, the latest plug-in hybrid Range Rover PHEV and everything in-between! The parade took place on Saturday 30th June at Billing Off-Road Show in Northampton and participants drove a three mile scenic route on flat grass and tracks.
Andrew Evanson, Lancaster Insurance’s Senior Operations Manager, comments: “It’s a special year for Land Rover and we’re thrilled to have played a part of marking the occasion with enthusiasts from all over the country. Setting a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title is a huge achievement so an enormous well done and congratulations to all involved.”
