Lancaster’s Golf takes part in Sporting Bears’ Dream Rides at CarFest South

Our prize-giveaway Golf, alongside custodian and our Car Club Manager Dave Youngs, made the trip down to Laverstoke Park on Saturday 25th August to take part in Sporting Bears' Dream Rides at CarFest South.
On the day there were around 50 cars to choose from to take you on a thrilling 10 mile ride through the village of Overton and lasted around 20 minutes. Prices ranged from £10 for a ride in a Mini or a Lotus Excel right through to £100 for the Lamborghini Aventador, with our Golf priced at £20.
Part of the route included a nice twisty national speed limit area where the Golf was really in its element! One of our passengers on the day chose the Golf as he had seen it in the paddock and is currently restoring his own Golf and he was very impressed with the newly fitted interior; whilst another passenger chose it for sentimental reasons because she had a Golf as her first car. All of the rides were fantastic as the locals really embraced the festival with many sitting on deck chairs on their driveway watching and waving as the Bears passed - our passengers felt like celebrities!
It was a great day and a huge honour to take part in the Dream Rides! Thank you to everyone who came over, took part and helped us raise money for such a worthwhile cause!
