June’s club of the month award goes to The Volkswagen Type 2 Owners Club. A fitting club and marque for the summer months as the camping season is in full swing and campers/enthusiasts begin to take part in road trips across the country!
The VW Type 2 Owners club started at the British Volkswagen Festival of 1991, in response to the growing number of transporter/camper owners and enthusiasts. The club embraces all models of Type Two VW’s (including the T4, T5 and T6) and its purpose is to support all owners and members keep their vans on the road. The club offers the following benefits through membership:
- Technical advice
- Negotiate discounts with useful retailers
- Organise camps and events
- Negotiate deals with insurers and roadside assistance companies
- Provide some legal information on vehicles
UK membership is as little as £25.00 a year, making your contribution just over £2.00 a month! You can purchase your membership on the club website here.
Lancaster are proud supporters of the VW camper and have been arranging campervan insurance for a number of years. If you are a member of the VWT2OC you can receive up to 25% discount to your quoted premium.
