This weekend, a team from Lancaster Insurance will be making their way to the picturesque Sherborne Castle for the Lancaster Insurance Classic & Supercar Show where over 2,000 vehicles will be on display including American, Custom and Hot Rod cars as well as a range of supercars. Mercedes-Benz will be in abundance as it’s this year’s marque feature and you can expect to see, amongst others, an 1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen replica, a rare 1928 Mercedes-Benz 36/220 S Type Tourer as well as George Harrison’s former Mercedes 500 SEL AMG!
It’s Lancaster Insurance’s first time at the show and as headline sponsor, the classic car insurance specialist has gone all out! An Aston Martin V8 Volante and an Alvis-Healey have already been announced as stand cars and it can now be revealed that a stunning Bentley Continental GTC Convertible will be adding even more glamour and joining the line-up. The Bentley has kindly been loaned by Vision Vehicle Solutions, a company who are able to provide an extensive range of quality hire cars should you need one following an non-fault accident. There’s also a chance for you to test your driving skills in an F1 simulator and should you be at the top of the leaderboard at the end of the show, you could win a Fire HD tablet (t&c’s apply)!
Elsewhere in the show, Bronwyn Burrell will be attending with her World Cup Maxi, and the 'Beauty Box', which was driven by an all ladies crew and finished a World Cup Rally in 17th place and there will be auctions from Charterhouse Auctioneers and performances from 1930s girl group Hotsie Totsies throughout the weekend, so there’s something for everyone.
