November’s club of the month goes to MX-5 Owners’ Club! Established in 1994, the clubs aims are to promote the use and enjoyment of MX-5s, encourage safe driving and to create a friendly environment where owners can meet and exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences. Membership is open to all regardless of vehicle ownership and the Club has a dynamic mix of owners, fans and enthusiasts of the Mazda MX-5, Roadster or Miata.
The Club has over 30 areas covering the UK, each with a network of Area Coordinators who organise and coordinate member meetings, runs, track days, social gatherings and Club events. The Areas also publish newsletters that are distributed to their local members. Up-to-date information on forthcoming local and national events are available through the Club’s website and forum and overseas.
As a member, you are able to access a wealth of benefits including obtaining discounted rates on servicing, parts and accessories from selected Mazda Dealerships and parts suppliers as well as a bi-monthly award winning club magazine, technical advice through the Club’s technical consultant and access to discussion forums on it’s website. Members can also take advantage of discounts with the Club’s Motoring Insurance Partners and here at Lancaster, we can usually arrange specialist insurance for all models of MX-5, even the newer ones.
The Club organises two National Events every year, with the Spring Rally usually in April or May and the National Rally held in late summer. The national event is always a favourite for the Lancaster team with the MX-5 being the chosen daily driver of a number of our staff.
