2017 review from Dave Youngs, Car Club Manager

Hi all,
Can you believe we’re nearing the end of 2017? It doesn’t seem like yesterday that we were at the start of the year looking forward to a jam packed season ahead!
We’ve had another very busy year at Lancaster, working with over 30 new car clubs, bringing our total partnerships to over 140. I’m always keen to work with new clubs so if you’d like to discuss ways in which we can work together and what we can offer your club, such as discounted rates for your members and helping introduce new members to you, do give me a call on 07825 365525 or drop me an email at dave.youngs@lancasterinsurance.co.uk as we’d be happy to help if we can.
Alongside being headline sponsor of Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show, with Discovery we’ve also supported new shows such as Classics at the Castle and Classic Ford this year and it’s been fantastic meeting everyone and discussing your classics! We’ve also supported National Car Club Awards and of course the Classic & Sports Car Club awards in November to celebrate your achievements and recognise individuals who work tirelessly to preserve our classic heritage. I’ve been involved in the industry for over eight years and I never fail to be amazed by the passion of clubs and their members, and hard work truly deserves to be rewarded.
On a personal note, I’ve recently moved house (which yes, includes a rather large garage!) so I’m eager to get started on my latest project, a 1985 Jaguar Sovereign which my dad has owned since 1993 but has been laid up since 2002. It seemed such a waste to wash all that valuable barn find dust away, so it’s now up and running, MOT’d and I can’t wait to set to work on it! If you’ve recently completed a restoration, we’d love to hear about it! Drop our team an email on marketing@lancasterinsurance.co.uk and you could feature on our website and social channels.
Here’s to a fantastic 2017 and now we’re officially in the first week of December and the festive decorations have started to appear, I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas period and a happy and healthy 2018!
Thanks for all your support,
Dave
