Classic & Sports Car Club Awards 2016

It has been another cracking year for classic car anniversaries – celebrated in brilliant fashion by clubs across Europe – and the Classic & Sports Car Club Awards are an opportunity to recognise all of your hard work over the past 12 months.

Club Awards 2016We’re supporting the awards are once again and our operations director Richard Morley explained: “These awards are an incredible way to celebrate the great work that car clubs undertake to support the industry, something that we’re passionate about being involved with and committed to, having sponsored the awards for the past six years.

The variety of categories, including the Lancaster Insurance Club Initiative of the Year Award, gives clubs the opportunity to shout about what they’ve been working on throughout the year, from using social media to promote membership or creating a new event to widen the awareness of our community. We are all faced with a challenge to ensure that we continue to innovate, evolve and grow and every endeavour – big or small – is a step forward in attracting new members and guaranteeing that the next generation of officials are eager to take up our mantle.”

It’s always a difficult decision to pick the winners in all categories, but those acknowledging clubs’ tireless charity work, plus the role of youngsters in the movement, are among the most difficult to decide.

It’s now time for you to enter the awards. We need your nominations for the categories judged before the event (see below), while a selection of awards will be decided at the NEC. The ceremony takes place in the Hilton Metropole Hotel – just a short walk from the exhibition halls – this year at the end of the first day of the 11th - 13th November event.

Only one entry will be accepted per club for each award, and entries should be accompanied by a letter from a senior officer confirming them as the club’s submissions. Please send them, with photos and explanations, by Friday 14 October to the address below or e-mail david.e@haymarket.com
