On Sunday 19th June, over 580 MGs were out in full force for the annual ‘MG’s in the Park’ meet. In its 18th year the event, which is supported by Lancaster Insurance, took place at Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens and was organised by the Oxfordshire MG Owners Club.
A range of MG models, from TCs all the way through to the SVRs, came out to enjoy the day with fellow enthusiasts. There was an array of activities on the day including trade and craft stands, an MG run around the Cotswolds and a raffle.
A ‘Pride of Ownership’ competition also took place with Lancaster Insurance sponsoring the trophies, awarded by the specialist insurers’ Car Club Manager, Jamie McTavish. There were 15 categories in total, with Pete Newman’s Damask Red MGB GT V8 winning ‘The Overall Best Car in Show’.
Lancaster Insurance Car Club Manager, Jamie McTavish, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the day and was thrilled to be on hand to present the trophies. We’re passionate about supporting club activities and from the organisation to the enthusiasts that turned up, it was such a success so a big thanks to all that took part.’
